Trainees
METRO GROUP offers vocational training for more than 25 different professions. Young people who join the group through a vocational training have good career opportunities. Many of our current management staff started their careers as vocational trainees.
Every year, about 2,500 young people commence a vocational training at the group. During the training and also in the years following it, the junior professionals are supported intensively. In the past, METRO GROUP offered permanent employment to approx. two thirds of its vocational trainees. The company’s average annual training quota is of 8.6 percent.
