Consolidation of the majority interest in METRO AG in Germany

The original partners of METRO AG, Düsseldorf, have rearranged their joint majority shareholding in METRO AG, whereby no economic change resulted.

Overall, the three partners continue to hold, directly or indirectly, 56.51% of the voting capital stock of METRO AG. In a contractual agreement, the partners have ensured that the rights derived from the majority interest in METRO AG will be exercised in a uniform fashion in future through the Metro Vermögensverwaltung GmbH & Co. KG in Düsseldorf. The 16.17% of votes held previously by Metro Holding AG, Baar/Switzerland, has now been transferred to the original partners in equal proportions. The previous percentage of votes of Metro VVKG, whose shares are held in equal proportions by the three partners, totaling 40.34%, has not changed. In the future, Metro Holding AG will not hold any shares, directly or indirectly, in METRO AG.
