Herbert Krämer leaves Praktiker Management Board

Herbert Krämer, CEO of Praktiker AG, Kirkel, is leaving the company for personal reasons as of 31 December 2000.

Zygmunt Mierdorf, member of METRO AG’s management board and chairman of the supervisory board of Praktiker AG, thanks Mr. Krämer for his work and wishes him all the best for the future: "The strategic reorientation and the assortment optimization were successfully completed in only 12 months under Mr. Krämer’s direction together with the extraordinary commitment of all employees." With its new standard-setting market image, Praktiker AG will confidently expand its position as No. 3 in Europe and No. 2 in Germany. The smaller management board will assume Mr. Krämer’s former responsibilities.
