Praktiker AG fortifies Management Board
Wolfgang Werner, 46, will join the Management Board of Praktiker AG, Kirkel, effective from 1 March 2000. Werner, who will be the Management Board member responsible for sales operations, gained important experience through positions at Allkauf, Tengelmann and Metro Group. Most recently, he was Chief Executive responsible for sales operations, marketing and expansion at the DIY operator, Hellweg Die Profi-Baumärkte GmbH & Co, Dortmund.
"Through the strategic repositioning of Praktiker AG and in light of the extensive responsibilities in the areas of sales operations as well as corporate development, it is necessary to have a single party responsible for the key area of sales operations."
