The two sales brands have secured the top position in European consumer electronics retailing and continue to extend their market leadership.
Media Markt and Saturn has developed into Europe’s top consumer electronics retailer in recent years. Around 225 million customers visited the consumer electronics centres in the past year. In keeping with its dynamic expansion strategy, the business group is energetically extending its network of stores. In 2007, Media Markt opened its very first store in Turkey and now has a presence in 15 countries. After having entered the Belgian market, Saturn now operates in 9 European countries. The Media Markt and Saturn sales division already generates more than half of its sales outside Germany.
The Media-Saturn Group offers a unique range of branded products in a total of 702 consumer electronics centres. Customers can choose from 45,000 articles from the areas of consumer electronics, household appliances, new media, telecommunications, computers and photography. These include all new products in a market segment marked by rapid technological change. Several flagship stores even offer an assortment of up to 100,000 electronics products. Beyond their wide spectrum of products, Media Markt and Saturn impresses with service assistance and knowledgeable employees. The services offered range from repairs to delivery and installation of large appliances.
