The advertising history shows the user how many pieces of one article have been sold during a promotion week in which region or in which store. Based on these data, relevant information for the planning of future advertising activities can be obtained. In particular during major advertising campaigns the view of the daily updated data will allow to stock up on merchandize where necessary and to avoid out-of-stock situations. The exact data relating to the success of previous advertising campaigns help avoid high inventory levels at the end of a promotion.
This area informs about the trend of inventories on a daily and weekly basis, supplies data about out-of-stock times and provides information on the inventory range of individual articles.
The inventory situation and shelf availability can be improved with the data from Metro Data Warehouse . Exact information at the store and article level allows to precisely identify stores and articles with very low and/or very high inventories. Based on these data the supplier’s sales force can visit exactly those stores where critical inventory levels occur.
The user is given details about the assortment policy at the store level as well as advertising, article and retail unit information and has access to listing information as well as store and supplier master data.
Through the access to their master data saved in Metro Data Warehouse the suppliers can view relevant data such as the assignment of articles to assortment and maintenance groups. They also show which articles are available in which store. This allows to find out whether listed articles can be ordered by the stores. Moreover, the article master data can be viewed, checked and completed by an employee of the METRO GROUP, where necessary.
