The Internationale Wirtschaftsfilmtage is the largest German-speaking festival for corporate films and is held every alternate year.

"State of the Art"

"We are there"Read more, the corporate film of the METRO Group, received the "State of the Art" award at the 15th ITVA Festival. With its corporate film "We are there", the METRO Group communicates the customer orientation and international applicability of its sales brands.

The Integrated TV & Video Association has been promoting the use of audiovisual media in the communication processes of industry and institutions in both, qualitative and quantitative terms, since 1983.

BCP Best of Corporate Publishing Award 2007

The "Morgenmacher" magazine published by the METRO Group Future Store Initiative has for the first time won an award in the Best of Corporate Publishing contest. The issue II/2006 of the magazine entitled "Europe" presents topics that will shape the future of Europe.

Around 580 entries participated in the BCP contest in 2007. The awards were presented for excellent products in the categories "Business-to-Consumer", "Business-to-Business", "Corporate Magazines", "Electronic Publishing" and "Special Publications".

World Media Award 2007

At the WorldMediaFestival, METRO Group received the Intermedia Globe Gold Award in the category "Public Relations: Image" for its corporate film "We are there"Read more.

The  "WorldMediaFestival - global competition for modern media" is an international contest for innovative audiovisual communication media. The World Media Festival Awards honor excellence in modern communication media and are internationally recognized as a symbol for outstanding production standards.

PR Report Award

The trade magazine "PR Report" presented the METRO Group Future Store Initiative (Link to external page:www.future-store.org) with the Technology Award for its trade fair stand at CeBIT 2006.

Every year, the "PR Report Awards" honor the most successful persons and campaigns in the German-speaking PR industry. The finding of the 22-high jury was that, with its 2,800 square meter stand, the METRO Group Future Store Initiative was the highlight of the trade fair.

New York Festivals

At the New York Festivals the METRO Group Corporate film "We are there"Read more received the "Certificate of Excellence" in the category "Public Relations / Corporate Image".

The New York Festivals award every year recognize excellent international media performance and are considered one of the main indicators for the rating of corporate films.

The Future Store Initiative received an "official distinction" for its homepage at the Webby Awards. The award is considered as the "Online Oscar".

The Webby Awards each year honor outstanding achievements in the fields of web design, creativity, user friendliness and functionalities. The awards are presented by the "International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences".

Astrid Awards

At the Astrid Awards 2006, METRO Group Networking in the category "Employee Publications" and the Beauty Information Terminal in the category "Interactive Media" each received the "Silver Award".

The competition for the design of corporate publications every year presents gold, silver, bronze and honorary awards in 15 different categories.

The Topic Special of the METRO Group attracted the jury’s attention because of the combination of emotional appeal with well founded information. The CD ROM "The World of Commerce" was valued on account of its attractive optical format and sophisticated concept.

Nielsen Norman Group Intranet Design Award

METRO Group NetworkingRead more, the group-wide work and information platform for the employees of the METRO Group, was rated by the management consultant Nielsen Norman Group as one of the ten world-best intranets of the year 2006.

The Nielsen Norman Group of the usability mastermind Jakob Nielsen examines very year several hundred internal platforms of international companies. The primary criteria applied are functionality, user-friendliness and design.
