Consumption in Europe

The vision of an economically and politically united Europe has become reality. As of 2005, the 27 EU nations form the world’s largest economic region. The common market not only facilitates the movement of goods, in many areas it also encourages European attitudes and actions. But what about the consumer behavior of EU citizens? Is it even legitimate to speak of the European consumer? Answers to these questions can be found in the METRO Group European Consumption Report – a comprehensive study of consumer behavior in Europe.
